  • A highly absorbable and very well-tolerated form of magnesium, unlikely to cause gastrointestinal side effects even at higher amounts.

Detail Overview

Magnesium activates enzymes that are required for a variety of physiological functions, including neuromuscular contractions, cardiac function, and the regulation of the body's acid-alkaline balance.1-4 In a cross-sectional study of 210 elderly people, optimal magnesium intake was linked to improved mood, lipid metabolism, and lean body mass.5 Magnesium is required for carbohydrate, amino acid, and fat metabolism, as well as energy production and the utilization of calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium.6-12 Higher magnesium intakes were associated with healthy cardiovascular function and glucose utilization in a 15-year study involving nearly 5,000 young adults.13 Another large cross-sectional study discovered that magnesium intake was related to bone mineral density in specific subgroups.14 This essential mineral also aids in the utilization of certain vitamins, such as vitamin B6, vitamin C, and vitamin E. 15,16 Magnesium (glycinate) is less likely than other forms of magnesium to cause loose stools.†17 Magnesium Chelate Powder mixes easily in water or juice and dissolves rapidly and completely. No flavors or sweeteners are added.
